In several instances I believe it helped my resume rise to the top of the pile. That being said, I also saw my resume be soundly rejected by plenty of computer algorithms–including one time when it said I matched 96% of the job’s criteria…and still didn’t get an interview. It’s all very disheartening, but I think you have to learn to play the game in order to win it. Keep applying, keep making adjustments to your resume until you have the winning combination.
